Just when it seems Missouri’s recruiting focus is locked on the transfer portal, Eli Drinkwitz proves once again that he’s willing to build his roster in multiple ways.
For the second time this month, Mizzou has made a late addition to its 2026 high school recruiting class, this time securing a commitment from Lee’s Summit wide receiver Karsten Fiene, who flipped from Northwest Missouri State to join Jacob Peeler’s receiver room in Columbia.

Fiene is coming off a breakout senior season in which he totaled more than 1,500 all-purpose yards and 12 touchdowns, showcasing versatility and playmaking ability that caught the Tigers’ attention late in the process.

With Fiene’s pledge, Missouri now sits at 21 commitments in its 2026 class, continuing to quietly add upside and depth while blending portal experience with high school talent.
