Missouri continues to fortify its offensive line with proven Power Four talent, landing Mississippi State starter Zack Owens via the transfer portal.

Owens becomes the Tigers’ second starting Bulldog lineman to make the move this offseason, joining Luke Work as Mizzou reshapes its front line for the future. With two years of eligibility remaining, Owens brings valuable SEC experience and a well-traveled résumé to Columbia.
The 6-foot-5 lineman began his college career at Clemson, transferred to Colorado in 2024, and emerged as a starter at Mississippi State in 2025. Now, Mizzou will be his fourth stop — and potentially his most important — as the Tigers look to solidify depth and replace at least two departing starters.

Owens is the fifth offensive lineman Missouri has added through the portal this cycle, joining Work, Colin Sorensen, Josh Atkins, and Will Kemna. The message is clear: Mizzou is betting on experience up front to fuel its next step forward.
